With its dual career programme, CBAM is committed to bringing skilled Vietnamese workers into a more regionally and internationally integrated economy.
The dual vocational training programme in Germany is considered an opportunity for Vietnamese youth aged 18-27 to access quality German education. Not only will they be equipped with specialised German foundations and specialised knowledge, the programme is free of charge, both for theoretical and practical purposes.
In addition, trainees are entitled to other benefits during the training period in Germany including basic salary, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and retirement insurance during the entire course of apprenticeship.
The training programme consists of three stages. Stage 1 is German training for B2.1 certificate in Vietnam. Stage 2 includes specialised German training in Germany and Stage 3 is paid vocational training in Germany. The major in dual vocational training programme in Germany selected by CBAM and SBH is Hospitality. This profession is in high demand in Germany and Europe.
“This is also a programme to support young people with clear career orientations. In particular, the dual vocational training programme in Germany was first developed by the German in Europe and has been very successful. Vietnamese people tend to place emphasis on the degree and I hope that the programme can help change this mindset," said Do Thi Kim Lien, South African Consul in Ho Chi Minh City and the principal of CBAM.
According to Vu Tien Loc, chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), with the strong impacts of Industry 4.0, vocational training should be shortened with proper approaches to meet business demands.
On this occasion, Lien donated 200 bicycles to underprivileged students in the northern province of Phu Tho.
