Vietnam’s economy is performing well, with GDP growth of 6.81 per cent in 2017 and 7.38 per cent in the first quarter of this year; the highest rate in a decade. According to the Industrial Restructuring Plan for 2018-2020 and Vision to 2025 approved by the government in May, Vietnam will accelerate the development of mechanical products, prioritize the development of a number of fields such as industrial equipment and electrical equipment, and attract investment in the development of clean energy, renewable energy, and new energy in order to ensure national energy security and achieve green growth objectives, mitigate climate change, and provide adequate energy at a reasonable price, to drive the development of other industries. These are favorable signs for the electrical equipment and green power industry to grow.
The Vietnam ETE and Enertec Expo 2018 are expected to have 200 exhibitors occupying 300 booths, including leading enterprises such as the Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVN HCMC), the Vietnam Electrical Equipment JSC (Gelex), ABB, Panasonic, Hitachi, Long Giang Electrical Equipment, Cong Luan Mechanical & Electrical JSC, APS Mechanical & Electrical JSC, and others.
In the field of green energy, Dien Quang, Rang Dong, Redsun, VES, and GEE will showcase their products. There will also be hundreds of booths from enterprises from ten countries and territories, such as Germany, France, the US, Sweden, Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Sponsorship is primarily coming from EVN HCMC with co-sponsorship from Dien Quang and Rang Dong.
Within the framework of the exhibitions there will be international specialized seminars hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, management agencies, project owners, and experts, together with “Trade Matching/Business Matching” to help businesses find partners, sales agents and investment, and conduct science and technology exchange. The “On-site Survey and Connect Trade Promotion” program sees a delegation visit and work directly with key enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby provinces to seek cooperative opportunities.
Vietnam ETE and Enertec Expo 2018 expect to attract 25,000 visitors, affirming their role as prestigious and professional annual events in Vietnam’s electrical equipment and green power sectors.
